A few years ago I dedicated myself to building a presence on social media through filmmaking and photography and I’ve been blessed that so may creative artists enjoy my work. When I started this journey I didn’t know anything about visual storytelling. I’ve always loved to write but I wanted to translate that passion into something visual. I got busy teaching myself everything I could about photography and videography, and now I absolutely love what I do! If I’m able to tell your story in a way that captivates your audience and helps them connect with you on a deeper level, then I’ve done my job.
Everyone has a story to tell; whether you are an artist, a musician, or a company with a great mission. In this big world, it can be challenging to get your story out there. That’s where I come in. My unique approach helps draw your story out of you, turns it into something visually stunning, and helps you get it out there for the world to see.
What first inspired you to be creative? What inspires you to be creative today?
I’ve always loved writing and telling stories but a few years ago I decided to take my passion to the next level. I was up late into the night after my kids went to bed teaching myself everything I could about visual storytelling through filmmaking and photography. Today, I’m at my happiest when I’m able to tell someone’s story to as many people as possible in an emotionally impactful way. I hope that as I utilize my creative vision I’m able to inspire others to make a difference in this world.
What is one thing you cannot live without?
Easy… chips and salsa!
If you had a superpower to benefit/amplify/inspire your art, what would it be?
I would love to have the power to teleport anywhere in the world whenever I want. I can’t even imagine the amount of beauty I would be able to capture if I could do that!
If you had a theme song, what would it be?
“The Greatest Show” and Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” are my motivating songs I listen to many times before any shoot.
What impact/impression do you hope your work makes on people/the world?
I hope it inspires change for the better. I hope it motivates and encourages anyone who sees my work. I hope my story helps any artist to know that they can do anything they want if they are willing to work hard enough.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Don’t compare your art or your success to anyone else. Be YOU and the right people will fall in love with your work.
What is “success” to you?
Having the ability to spend more time with the people I love and doing the things I love.
What advice do you have for others who are chasing their dreams?
Done is better than perfect. Don’t wait to chase your dreams until you are perfectly positioned for it. Do today, refine tomorrow and then do again.
Before you know it you will develop a belief in yourself that will only move you closer and closer to your achieving all of your dreams.
