David McNeley, also known as “Mcbiff,” is a traditional artist from Huntington Beach, CA specializing in Acrylic Painting and Digital Art. His unique New Mid-Century Pop style displays an intriguing habitat that is reminiscent of a commercial ad industry of a bygone era. Inspired by Disney artists that came before him and a healthy union with a paintbrush, Mcbiff is a self-taught artist. His techniques are his own and have taken many years to develop. His renowned works in Modern Nostalgia make him to perfect addition to any creative space.
Where are you from?
Huntington Beach, California.
What first inspired you to be creative? What inspires you to be creative today?
Growing up going to Disneyland inspired me to want to be an Artist for Disney someday. One of the things that inspires me today is actually being an Artist for Disney now. And not just any artist for Disney. I get to put my style and my name on everything I do. Which is pretty rare for Disney.
What is one thing you cannot live without?
Water. Drinking water and Ocean water. Both equally important.
Are there any new elements/styles/etc. that you hope to incorporate into your artwork in the future?
Yes. But you’ll have to wait and see.
What makes you feel connected to Surf City Still Works/HB/SoCal?
I’m connected to Huntington Beach by Birth and Ohana.
